UK intends to introduce green plates for environmentally friendly cars
Green number plates for electric vehicles could be used on the Manx roads in the future.
The UK announced plans to introduce different coloured plates for environmentally friendly cars earlier this week.
The Isle of Man Government has confirmed it's already looking at options for distinctive registration plates which highlight clean emissions vehicles.
It adds that encouraging the uptake of electric vehicles is a key part of the government's target of zero net carbon emissions by 2050.
