Export controls imposed

Export controls have been imposed on the country in response to severe human rights abuses leveled against its Rohingya Muslim population.
Almost a million have fled Myanmar in the last three years.
The sale of certain goods including technology, software and telecoms equipment have been restricted by the EU.
The order means Manx companies, and the Treasury, are prohibited from trading with the country.
Last year, the Manx government donated £100,000 to those fleeing to neighbouring Bangladesh.
