Plans to cut the wait, says minister
Health Minister Howard Quayle says the Island can’t afford to take on extra medical staff to offer MRI scans at weekends.
Today in the House of Keys he faced a question from Onchan MHK Zac Hall on the issue.
Mr Quayle said the scanner was only available 9 to 5 from Monday to Friday because of staffing and funding pressures.
But he said planned changes will improve the service:

Immigration changes designed to stop exploitation by 'bad eggs'
Plantation wood, telegraph poles and Satnav to be discussed in the House of Keys
Contingency budget for horse tram tracks 'significantly increased'
MHK to seek re-election in Arbory, Castletown and Malew
