Manx government has held talks with UK Treasury
The British Islands need a stronger voice to ensure commercial lenders have the confidence to provide credit cards to areas like the Isle of Man.
That's from Enterprise Minister Tim Johnston, who was asked about the availability of credit cards for Manx residents in Tynwald.
Mr Johnston confirmed the Isle of Man has been in talks with the UK treasury to see if it can lobby UK-based providers on the Island's behalf.
He says work is ongoing to ensure credit providers understand the Island's position:
