Year of the Pig to be featured on new set of stamps
The Isle of Man Post Office is celebrating Chinese New Year with a specialised set of stamps.
Painted by artist Zhang Yong, a set of four stamps will be issued on 22 January to salute the Year of the Pig.
Those born in the year of the pig are said to be energetic, enthusiastic and realistic. Though not wasteful spenders, they are also said to enjoy life and treat themselves occasionally.
General Manager of Isle of Man Stamps and Coins, Maxine Cannon, says celebrating the Spring Festival with our Chinese friends has become a tradition that commemorates the relationship between the Isle of Man and China.
