Father of two died earlier this month
An inquest into the death of a cyclist who died after being hit by a car on 5 October has been opened at Douglas Court House.
Matthew James McSevney, 43, was struck near the old quarry entrance on Poortown Road at around 8:30am
The father of two, a project manager from Peel, was taken to the emergency department of Noble's Hospital, where he later died from the injuries he had sustained.
Coroner John Needham said Mr McSevney had died from "multiple injuries" - as a consequence of blunt force trauma.
The inquest was adjourned to a date to be fixed.
