News of the timetable for passengers is expected soon
Better weather on the Mersey and work on the passenger reception buildings are pointing towards completion of the Liverpool ferry terminal project.
There have been a number of Infrastructure Ministers since it was first suggested and then started.
Currently, Chris Thomas has overall responsibility for the scheme which has gone considerably over budget.
He was asked in the House of Keys about the expected final costs, but Mr Thomas says it's too early to say:
The treasury minister says his department is closely monitoring final costings.
Many of the extra costs are for repairing voids or holes in the jetty.
Dr Alex Allinson says the Department of Infrastructure wants to successfully complete the scheme:
