Police warning as winter approaches
Police are warning drivers to make sure their cars are fit for the winter roads.
This morning, officers say they stopped a vehicle in an unroadworthy condition, and the driver was issued with a notice to repair the defects.
Police say now winter’s almost upon us, they’ll be on the lookout for defective vehicles, and people should check before they set off.
In particular, they say common problems that need extra checks include headlights, brakes, tyres, exhaust and mirrors.
