Police issue warning ahead of winter
Police are urging drivers to check their vehicles over as we head into the long winter months.
In a post on social media, the Northern Neighbourhood Policing Team says drivers need to ensure their cars are fit to be on the road.
Officers will be out and about to 'offer advice to motorists and provide defect notices - which allow for certain repairs such as head and tail-lights to be repaired within seven days.
Above all else, Islanders are being advised to 'stay safe on the road this winter'.
