Company strikes back at MT criticisms
The chief executive officer of Sure Mobile has hit back at a telecoms rival, following claims his firm was 'misrepresenting the facts' and 'scaremongering' with one of its campaigns.
Manx Telecom's newly-appointed chief commercial officer Ed Jennings made the allegations, suggesting that Sure was looking to 'profit from that misrepresentation'.
His comments relate to an advert from Sure which depicts a 'countdown clock' leading to the 'impending doom' of the ISDN service for businesses, as Mr Jennings put it.
Mike Phillips says Sure's campaign was right to warn people of imminent changes.
Guaranteed support for the technology is being withdrawn from 31 December, with the function being removed completely from June next year.
