Chair of Manx Technology Group gives his view
The Manx Government will be waiting for details of today's UK (Friday) mini-budget with some trepidation.
That's the view of Manx Technology Group chairman and former government economist John Webster.
Of concern will be the prospect of significant tax cuts, including a possible reduction in VAT rates and the cancellation of the planned NI increase.
Mr Webster believes the Isle of Man must devise a clear economic strategy:

Working hard 'no longer enough to afford to buy a home'
Treasury writes off £340,000 in benefits overpayments in three years
Manxman to return to service following repairs
Discussions ongoing over meningitis B vaccine rollout
Health minister apologises for confusion over ambulance centre funding
