Death occurred in May 2013
An Island sewage company will have to pay £30,000 for causing the death of a construction worker.
On Wednesday, Tuke and Bell Limited was fined £24,000 and will need to meet a further £6,000 in costs following a fatality at a work site in Kirk Michael in May 2013.
Fifty-five year-old worker Gareth Sowden died from crush injuries after being trapped under a shipping container.
The company, which had earlier admitted failing to discharge its duty in relation to health and safety, has been given 28 days to pay.
JCK Ltd had been accused of the same offence but was cleared after a jury found them not guilty.
