Question marks over Island's infrastructure
There's been a call for the Island to embrace electric vehicles, ahead of a unique motorsport spectacle this afternoon.
The SES TT Zero lap takes place later - with lap speeds of up to 120mph expected from the purely battery-powered machines.
Staff from Douglas-based Computer Network Defence have recently been showing off their own customised electric car, which had its own lap of the Mountain Course last week.
Managing Director Andy Cuff says the Island is the 'perfect place' for such vehicles.
But he adds the infrastructure for electric car owners is relatively sluggish compared to that of the UK:
