Ageing population discussed at Policy Review Committee
The Chief Minister has suggested the Island could need as many as twenty new nursing homes in the next twenty years.
An ageing Manx population was a key theme of discussions on Monday (26), as the Economic Policy Review Committee took oral evidence from representatives of government in the Legislative Council Chamber.
Howard Quayle referenced his time spent as Health Minister, when it was predicted nine new care homes could be required to satisfy growing demand.
