Gran Fondo has seen rise in interest at entry level
Sporting events can play their part in encouraging more active travel on the Isle of Man.
That's according to one of the key figures for the Gran Fondo IoM cycling event which will be returning for 2022 on 16-17 July.
The occasion sees competitors take part in five different events - ranging from the 137km Gran Fondo down to the family-friendly 1km Minisculo Fondo.
The event's director, Paul Phillips, believes the Gran Fondo can play a role in advertising healthier lifestyles in general:
