Competition starts today
After a glittering opening ceremony last night, competition gets underway in earnest today at the Natwest Island Games.
The first event for the Isle of Man will be the Badminton Team Event when the Manx meet the Shetland Islands at 10am.
Also later is the group stage men’s football match against the Western Isles with kickoff at 1pm.
Last night 6,000 people gathered in St Helier to watch the 24 competing teams gathered at the opening ceremony.
