Steam Packet sailings cancelled
The gales and heavy rain have caused a number of issues around the Isle of Man today.
This evening's Ben-my-Chree sailing from Douglas to Heysham and her overnight return were cancelled, as were the Birkenhead sailings earlier in the day.
There was a handful of delays and cancellations at the airport as well.
Meanwhile, the police say they and the Department of Infrastructure dealt with numerous fallen trees and flooding on roads Island-wide.
Sport was also hit, with just one football match going ahead and both rugby matches at the Mooragh Park in Ramsey being postponed.
