
Isle of Man Hospice is preparing to mark Hospice Care Week 2012 with others in the UK and around the world.
It's the second annual event and aims to raise the profile of palliative care and those who provide it.
In the Island, hospice cares for 350 patients and their families every year, and raises £3 million towards its own running costs.
From Monday 8 October information stands will be set up at Noble's hospital, Stand Shopping centre and at Callow's Yard to promote understanding of the hospice movement.
