Witness to tragedy plans minute's silence
A witness to the Summerland disaster says we need to have annual commemorations of the event to remember those who were killed.
Tina Brennen lived above the popular tourist attraction when a fire destroyed it on August 2nd, 1973, claiming the lives of 50 people.
She is organising a minute's silence at the Summerland site on Sunday evening (7.30pm, 2 August) to commemorate the 42nd anniversary of the tragedy, as well as hosting a gig at Amber Bar in Douglas on Saturday night.
