The perseid meteor shower peaks this evening
You could experience one of the best 'celestial shows the sky has to offer' tonight (Wednesday).
That's the view of local astronomer Howard Parkin ahead of a perseid meteor shower this evening.
The annual event is happens from mid July to the end of August - however tonight is its peak.
