Coastal overtopping likely on promenades
Significant amounts of sea water, and debris, is likely to be washed onto roads and promenades today.
The Isle of Man is under an amber weather warning for coastal overtopping.
Amber means 'be prepared' with a risk of severe weather causing disruption and damage in places.
Strong winds are expected to continue this morning - high tide is at 11.30am.
Areas likely to be affected are Shore Road in Rushen, Castletown Promenade, the northern end of Douglas Promenade and to a lesser extent Laxey.
The weather warning is in place until 1pm.
