Phil Braidwood will stay in post for the next few months
An Island politician who failed to be returned to the Legislative Council will retain his Treasury post for the next few months.
Phil Braidwood, who was an East Douglas MHK for 15 years and a member of the upper house for five years, was unsuccessful in his bid to gain re-election on Monday.
Treasury Minister Eddie Teare says Mr Braidwood’s contribution cannot be underestimated.
