Countering Financial Crime Conference at the Villa Marina today
The Countering Financial Crime Conference taking place at the Villa Marina today [Wednesday 3 September] will highlight global risks and the Island’s overall progress.
The 2025 event comes a year ahead of the latest MONEYVAL assessment.
MONEYVAL is a peer review body that evaluates how countries tackle money laundering and terrorist financing, and recommends ways to strengthen their systems.
Financial Services Authority CEO Bettina Roth recently gave evidence to the Economic Policy Review Committee, and said changes were made after the last appraisal in 2016:
