HEAR holds first meeting
A new pro-life group is being launched on the Island this evening (1 September).
Humanity & Equality in Abortion Reform - or HEAR - calls itself a 'progressive and humane movement to affirm the dignity and right to life' of unborn children.
It's been set up in direct response to CALM, a pro-choice lobby campaigning for abortion law reform.
Tonight's inaugural meeting at the Manx Legion Club in Douglas at 6:30pm will feature visiting speakers, including Lord Alton of Liverpool.
UK pressure group Right to Life spokesman Peter Williams will be there too.
