
Island residents who have been caught up in Storm Sandy, which has swept across the east coast of America over the last 24 hours, have been speaking to Manx Radio.
Chris Clarke, originally from Douglas, is now working as football coach in Rhode Island.
He says there's been real fear among people in the area.
Also in the United States is Ella Slack from Ramsey, who is on holiday.
She left New York before the brunt of the storm hit the city.
