MHK believes public would welcome allowing displaced Ukrainians to come to Island
The Isle of Man should start putting preparations in place to take in refugees from Ukraine.
Manx Labour Party leader Joney Faragher is calling for the Council of Ministers to do just that and will be bringing a motion to next month's sitting of Tynwald.
Chief Minister Alfred Cannan will also be asking the Manx parliament to back the protection of those impacted by the ongoing conflict when the court sits tomorrow (Tuesday).
While the Douglas East MHK believes there's public support for allowing refugees to come to the Island, she admits we won't be able to help everyone:
