Chief Constable's assessment as annual report laid before Tynwald
The Chief Constable says he is as 'sure as he can be' the Isle of Man is the safest jurisdiction in the British Isles.
Stressing the challenges facing the police in his annual report, Gary Roberts recorded a shift from traditional forms of crime to more complex offending.
He also measured the severity of offences and noted the impact sexual assault poses to the Island's community.
In his conclusion, Mr Roberts stated the Isle of Man is 'still about' safer than it's British neighbours.
The annual report, which will be laid before Tynwald next week, is available for public viewing on the Tynwald website.
