Satellite will pass over on Tuesday
An Island-wide 'space mob' is being planned as a passing satellite looks to take high-resolution photographs of the Isle of Man.
Between 10 - 11 on Tuesday (5 June) morning, the public are being invited by the Year of Our Island team to curate their own 'space selfie'.
In order to be seen properly by the satellite, public displays are asked to be at least 10 metres by 10 metres.
Local artist Greg Joughin will create an installation on Douglas beach on behalf of the government initiative.
Anyone wishing to take part around the Island, is encouraged to share their space mob photos on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram with @OurIsland2018 using the hashtags #spacemob and #spaceart.
