Request to take care of a plot dear to you
Islanders are being encouraged to adopt sections of beaches, glens and footpaths.
It's part of a Beach Buddies effort to keep the environment as clean as possible from waste and set an example to the rest of the world.
The initiative would see residents taking responsibility for a plot of land they hold dear to them.
Buddies founder Bill Dale says there would be no official paperwork to sign - but it could make a real difference to the cleanliness of the coastline:
