Consultation on proposed updates due to take place shortly
The Island's debt collection laws need to be modernised to ensure those owed money can be reimbursed.
That's from the Treasury Minister, who's confirmed government will be consulting on proposals to update the current legislation shortly.
Dr Alex Allinson says the differences between UK and Manx laws could be putting some British credit and mortgage providers off serving the Isle of Man.
But, he warns any changes must be tailored to the Island:
