Centre to provide info on species found in Manx waters
The Island's first permanent centre devoted to marine life from our coastline officially opens this month.
The Manx Whale and Dolphin Visitors Centre will include a junior scientist section, a library of marine-life books, hot spot insights and facts about the many species swimming in Manx waters.
The facility, which is on Michael Street in Peel, will also act as the organisation's new headquarters.
Officially opening on 26 January, Education Outreach Manager for the organisation Jen Adams, hopes the centre will help boost eco-tourism:
