A huge music festival backed by 3FM and Manx Telecom has been called off.
The Isle of Man Festival due to be held in Noble’s Park on July 6 has been cancelled because of poor ticket sales.
It was set to be headlined by Primal Scream, Paloma Faith and Johnny Marr, and had been supported by MTV.
Organisers made the announcement this afternoon.
In a statement, the festival says pressing on with the festival would put businesses both off and on the Island in jeopardy.
It further thanks all those who had supported the event and who had bought tickets.
As yet, there’s no guarantee everybody will get refunds, but organisers say they’ll make every effort to issue full refunds.
The statement says people should ask for ticket refunds from the agent they bought the ticket through, such as the Villa Gaiety.
Nobody from the organisation has been available for interview yet.
