Tindle Newspapers take on titles
The sale of Isle of Man Newspapers has been successfully completed.
Surrey-based Tindle Newspapers has acquired the Isle of Man Courier, Examiner and Manx Independent titles - as well as the online arm iomtoday - for £4.25 million.
Former owner Johnston Press says the deal is part of an ongoing 'divestment' strategy.
Isle of Man Newspapers, based on Peel Road, Douglas, recorded a gross profit just shy of £600,000 last year.
Tindle says it's 'delighted' to be expanding its 200-strong portfolio - it's unclear at present whether operations on the Island will be affected.
