Global day of prayer supports prisoners, staff, and their families
Isle of Man residents are being called on to show their support for prisoners, prison staff, victims of crime, survivors and their families this weekend.
‘A Service for Prison Sunday’ will take place at Jurby Church on Sunday (21 June) at 2pm.
The ‘Prison Sunday’ initiative takes place in October in the UK but the Island will observe it in June instead to avoid a clash following the General Election later this year.
It's being spearheaded by Catholic parish priest Father John Hindley who also acts at the catholic chaplain for the prison:
