An Isle of Man school has been selected as a National Inclusion Champion for 2026/27.
Laxey School is one of eight in the UK and British Isles to be chosen.
In a post on Facebook, the school says to be selected is to be recognised as being at the forefront of inclusive practice.
"Inclusion is at the heart of who we are here at Laxey, and it shows in everything we do. This achievement belongs to every child, every family, every member of staff, our governors, our Parent Forum Group and every friend of the school.
"A huge thank you to our brilliant staff team, and to Mrs Dudgeon, our IQM Lead, whose work has been instrumental in this recognition."
The school will receive a national inclusion champion banner at a special presentation in the new academic year.
