Consultation on assisted dying open for eight weeks
A Ramsey MHK and doctor says it's the right time to have a discussion on assisted dying.
In June, Dr Alex Allinson was given leave to introduce his bill - which will help people in the terminal phase of their lives the right to choose.
Public consultation is open until 26 January next year.
It's the first step in the process to take the assisted dying bill forward to the House of Keys.
Dr Allinson says its important people get involved:
Dignity in Dying UK has hailed the consultation as a key milestone.
Tom Davies from the group says a recent poll found 87 percent of Islanders from Jersey, Guernsey and the Island support a change in law for assisted dying:
The consultation is open until 26 January.
