Eight weeks custody for 23 year old
A Douglas man who resisted arrest has been sentenced to eight weeks' in jail.
Twenty-three-year-old Roman Pszczolkowski, of Loch Promenade, admitted a charge of resisting a peace officer in the execution of their duty.
He appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas courthouse.
The court heard Pszczolkowski had run away from police when they approached him outside Bordello nightclub in Douglas at around 3.15am on Friday last week (April 1).
The officers caught up with him, and he tussled with them as they tried to search him, then resisted arrest.
His jacket was ripped as the tried to handcuff him, and he got free, running down the promenade.
He again resisted arrest when they caught up with him again.
