Twenty months in prison handed down
Police say a woman from Peel's 'abuse of trust' has had a negative impact on her family - but maintain her punishment was proportionate.
Thirty-two-year-old Fenella Carter was on Tuesday jailed for 20 months, after admitting to stealing over £33,000 from her uncle's law firm.
The case has attracted considerable public comment, with some calling into question the sentence's impact on Carter's two young children.
