Follows calls from MHK to appoint commissioner for children
Jersey's commissioner for children has offered to help the Isle of Man as it evolves its own child protection strategy.
Deborah McMillan has been in post since 2018 for the States of Jersey following an inquiry into abuse at children's homes on the Island.
Garff MHK Daphne Caine led a debate in Tynwald this week on the merits of introducing a similar role here.
Ms McMillan believes the changes in Jersey have had a positive effect:
Three-month wait for state pension forecast statements
OFT to investigate possible regulation of funeral directors
"One of the Island's foremost champions of Manx heritage" to receive Tynwald Honour
No timeline yet for reinstatement of rehab service to north
Venezuela Fury & Noah Price wedding "a true showcase of the breadth and quality of Manx services"
