Police are investigating an alleged robbery in Douglas.
It happened around 4pm yesterday afternoon (Fri 9th) at RHS Jewellers on Prospect Hill when a man entered the shop and threatened a member of staff before making off with a quantity of jewellery.
He then fled on a red and white off-road style motorbike.
Officers say there were a number of people around at the time who may have witnessed the incident and would particularly like to speak to a man who chased after the thief in the area around Shaws Brow car park.
They add that it's an unusual incident for the island and are keen to quickly trace the person responsible.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police headquarters on 631 212 or use Crimestoppers, anonymously if you wish, on 0800 555 111
