Head of Jurby and Northern Community Initiatives project stepping down
The woman who spearheaded the Jurby and Northern Community Initiatives project for more than seven years is stepping down.
Angela Quaggin has been at the helm since the JNCI came into being.
Based in the Jurby Health and Community Centre it's been the catalyst for community-based initiatives and a hub for many groups and activities.
The trustees of the JNCI will continue to run groups at the centre until December and are said to be working with government and Manx Care to 'reach a solution' over the continuation of services.
In a post on Facebook Angela said: "We understand this leaves a good degree of uncertainty and are genuinely sorry for any upset and inconveniences this may cause.
"We hope to have a positive progress update to share in the coming weeks and as soon as we have news to share we’ll do so."
