Minister says generic listings can make duplication difficult to identify

Treasury has acknowledged it can be difficult for the Job Centre to prevent duplication in job vacancy listings.

In a written Tynwald answer, Treasury Minister Alex Allinson says vacancies may be submitted by both employers and recruitment agencies.

He explained that duplication is hard to detect when generic job titles or unspecified employers are used.

He adds, in those cases, Job Centre staff would not be able to identify whether the same role had been listed more than once.
