Manx actor to feature in Sweeney Todd
Manx actor Joe Locke is set to make his Broadway debut in the new year in an adaptation of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
The Heartstopper star will take to the stage at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre as the character Tobias, with shows starting on Wednesday, 31 January 2024.
He'll replace fellow Netflix star Gaten Matarazzo (Stranger Things), who originated the role in the revival run, before leaving the show last month.
The performance, directed by Thomas Kail, features music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim.
The former Ballakermeen student has also been cast as Wiccan in the upcoming Marvel series Agatha: Darkhold Diaries.
