Plans for a major new project in east Douglas have been 'wholeheartedly welcomed' by one of the area's MHKs.
Chris Robertshaw believes the £25 million Quayside North development - featuring restaurants, cinema screens, apartments, shops and a hotel - could bring opportunities concurrent with plans to transform the town centre.
The works will also see the existing bus station on Lord Street renovated into a modern 'transport hub' for the capital.
Mr Robertshaw says although plans have still not been formally approved, they should be fully embraced:
