DOI says it wasn't caused by its workers
Damage to the Jubilee Oak near Braddan Bridge was present before work started on the roundabout.
That’s been confirmed to Manx Radio by the Department of Infrastructure this afternoon.
There appears to be a chunk of bark missing near the bottom of the tree.
We have asked the DOI if they know what caused the damage and what’s being done to protect the tree further.
