30-year-old caught with drug in hotel room
A Liverpool man who was caught with thousands of pounds worth of Ketamine at a Douglas hotel will be sentenced in June.
Thomas Anthony Fitzsimmons, of Woodsorrel Road, was told he’ll learn his fate on 16 June during an appearance in the Court of General Gaol Delivery at Douglas Courthouse.
The 30-year-old has previously admitted possessing the Class B drug with intent to supply, possession of cannabis and causing damage to property.
Police were called to the Mannin Hotel, just before 5am on 5 March, after Fitzsimmons was seen damaging a door – when they searched his room they found 185 grams of Ketamine.
The drug had a street value of between £7,420 and £9,275.
There was no application for bail and he was remanded at the Isle of Man Prison until he is sentenced.
