
Almost a hundred people filled Jurby’s community hall last night to oppose onshore wind farms.
The meeting had been called after Prowind UK announced plans to build a factory employing 100 people on Jurby’s industrial estate, powered by five huge wind turbines.
Despite that site being ruled out due to the presence of the airfield which could be used for aviation in future, many used the meeting to voice their opposition to any wind turbines.
