Education minister gives update to Tynwald
Just 5 to 10 percent of pupils are wearing face coverings in the classroom, despite the education department stating that it is expected of students.
Education Minister Julie Edge made the announcement at this month's sitting of Tynwald following a survey of headteachers.
Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse, who asked for the figures, described the uptake as 'concerning'.
Before Christmas, it was estimated 20 to 50 percent of students were wearing masks.
