Summer school to learn Irish Gaelic
Culture Vannin has announced the recipient of this year's Kaneen Bursary, who'll travel to a summer school in Donegal to learn Irish this summer.
Manxman Cesar Joughin who's currently studying advanced violin making in Nottingham, has been selected to attend the week-long language course.
A fluent Manx speaker, Cesar studied at Yn Bunscoill Ghaelgagh and QEII High School.
The bursary covers all costs for the trip - it was named after professor Brian Kaneen, an academic who was keen to see young Manx speakers experience other Gaelic languages.
