Popular vessel heading for new life in Gambia
One of the most familiar sights in Douglas Harbour is setting off to a new home - in Africa!
The MV Karina has been carrying passengers, under the flag of the Laxey Towing Company, for 18 years.
However, with her new license this year reliant on an extensive overhaul, her owner, Captain Stephen Carter, relunctantly took her out of commission and offered her for sale.
She now has new owners and will be leaving the Island for warmer waters . . .
